  • Silverside was cooked over the day in an amazing crock pot
  • the potatoes have a lovely yellowness; butter!
  • be taken aback by the last moment mystifying addition provided by Chris: peas
  • pictured but not prominent, is the mustard sauce. A finely crafted mustard sauce
  • all Willem did was drain the meat and steal the resulting juice (could the juice possibly be seen in a future post?)

"simple" baked lasagne

  • Followed Jamie's recipe
  • Was not simple
  • Used mild cheddar instead of parmesan
  • Carrots were great
  • Used dry herbs instead of fresh ones
  • Used two tbsp of each herb (good move)
  • Did use a cup of Australian red wine (it had medals on it)
  • Need to add more tomatoes next time (or more tomato paste)
  • Didn't add the fish
  • Didn't have enough crème fraîche
  • Has opportunities for parallelism
